A mother, Rieko, works part-time at a convenience store. One day, the manager pulled her daughter Miu's hand when he caught a shoplifter. While Rieko bows repeatedly in the back yard, the manager lets the shoplifter off the hook because she is the daughter of a part-timer. Rieko questions her daughter, but she doesn't say anything... A few days later, the manager reports that her daughter shoplifted again. When Rieko again bows to the manager, the manager says that there is a price to pay to cover up the shoplifting, forcing Rieko to make a hard choice...
